Causes of inflammation.

Inflammatory reactions are triggered by a variety of stimuli and microbes and also by changes in the tissues:-

Infections- the microbes like viruses, bacteria, fungi, and other microbes can induce an inflammatory reaction in the infected tissues, and this response is medically important. According to the type of the organism, the inflammation can be acute short-lived or systemic, or chronic. Actually, the inflammation process morphology can define the type of organism that is infected and sometimes even the etiology.

Similarly, tissue necrosis and the presence of foreign bodies also induce inflammation;

Immune reactions- (also called hypersensitivity) are reactions in which the normally protective immune system damages the individual’s own tissues. The injurious immune responses may be directed against self-antigens, causing autoimmune diseases, or maybe inappropriate reactions against environmental substances, as in allergies, or against microbes.

Conclusion-there are many stimuli present that cause inflammation in the body and those stimuli can be external and internal too.
